March 15 - Chiling @ the Ibale's, Lunch @ Bro Wilson's, Church @ Bro Herbert's

From my journal: This morning, Sharon woke us up at 6:30 for some reason. So we just chilled for a bit. Then we had breakfast and left. We got to the church at like 9:30 and then went to Bro Steven’s. Apparently we were supposed to work at the church this morning but we thought that we were leaving for church at like 11. So we all just played chess and connect four and suntanned. I got a burn today. Which is good and bad. Good because it will darken into a tan, bad because it hurts like the devil!!!!!! We then went for lunch at Bro Wilson’s house. That was good. We didn’t leave until 1:21 though. And church started at 3 and it was a 3ish hour drive…… It was at Bro Herbert Makoba’s church. We wouldn’t have taken so long to get there if Beth hadn’t have kept making Bro Emmanuel stop so she could take pictures. She didn’t come to church last night so she didn’t get to see Bro Emmanuel’s church so she made him detour so she could take a picture of it. But at least we did eventually get there. I got to go to Bro Herbert’s. It was the one church that I really wanted to go to because growing up, Bro Herbert would come to Grande Prairie and preach and stay at our house. So it brought back memories. Like of hiding when he would leave because he would always say that he wanted to take me home with him and I thought he was actually going to so I would hide. We didn’t get there until really late though cuz the big van decided we needed to stop at a market. Service started at 3 and Dad didn’t get to the pulpit until almost 5 because they were waiting for us. I felt really bad. Service was good though. Dad preached on Authority. After church, bro Herbert came up to me and he was like I'm so happy you are in my country!!! It's so great to see you!! And then we all went to take a picture on the other side of the church with his whole church and I was in the back and Bro Herbert was like "Sister Esther! That behind you is my daughter, Lydia who you used to correspond with {which I don't remember at all}. Did you meet her?" It was kinda funny. It was also the first time I was recognized the entire trip. Other than the people I told, noone knows I am Dad's daughter. Like at church, we get introduced like this: "we are so happy to have Bro Tim Dodd from Cloverdale Bibleway with us. {insert random conglomeration of facts about Dad. Usually that he used to pastor in Grande Prairie but has recently moved to Cloverdale Bibleway to Bro Eddie Byskal's church.} Also, we have with us Bro Kim Dingwall {usually pronounced Dinwool or Dingmall} as well as his wife and daughter Beth. He has brought with him a team of students. We are happy to have them. Will they come sing?" And then we go up and butcher a song and then Dad goes and preaches. Thats how the services here normally go. On the way home, Sharon fell asleep on my lap and I had nowhere to put my arms that were in utter complete pain cuz she was using up the whole bench so i had to just put them in the air for the whole 3 hours home. Not very comfortable at all. But I didn't want to wake her. When she finally woke up, and sat up, I laid down on her lap and put my feet out the window for like an hour. It was so refreshing!!!!! When we got home, we had dinner and then I put Lidocaine on my sunburn. Which totally numbed my skin and felt really good.
